Following a meeting of the Steering Group, we are now in a position to launch the alliance Trio groups who will be at the centre of the research project. We already have our in-school groups and our cross-phase groups; we now have two new Trios led by our two SLEs, Richard Vine and Sharron Hutchings.
Four colleagues from our partner schools have volunteered to take part:
- Rob Lunnon from Kings, a mathematician
- Gill Morrison from Morrison, Head of History
- Nic Rorke from Colyton, a scientist
- Saira Sawtell from Budmouth, Literacy Lead
There will be two trios, each led by an SLE and a training day has been arranged for later this month. The aim of the day will be to decide on a focus for each group and to work out a plan of attack. The SLEs involved have already led trios in school and are ready to support and advise.
In recognition of the importance of this initial pilot, each participating school will be given a £1k grant to facilitate cover and resources from the central Teaching School fund.
It is hope that these two Trios will publish their research on this website at the end of the year and then each lead a Trio next year, further disseminating their expertise.
