The Jurassic Coast Teaching Schools Alliance objective for Research and Development is to engage in high quality research which will reflect the priorities of the Alliance and contribute significantly towards school improvement both locally and nationally.
The Alliance has been awarded a Research and Development grant towards achieving this aim in ‘How can leaders lead successful Teaching School Alliances which enable the development of consistently great pedagogy’. Acceptance of the grant commits the Alliance to the following:
- Question, address and then implement a rigorous school-driven research approach to the areas identified. This will include regular data collection and reporting. Full reports will be provided in Summer 2013 and Summer 2014
- Collaboration with other Teaching Schools who have been awarded within the same area of focus
- Commitment to disseminating the learning across the Teaching Schools network and supporting the National College for Teaching and Leadership with wider dissemination work
If you would like more information about the Jurassic Coast Teaching Schools Alliance Research and Development programme or if you are part of a Teaching School also committed to the Theme Three Grant Award, please contact Nicola Payne on 01297 442232.
