As a result of the application round for the second cohort of Special Leaders of Education six candidates were interviewed on Tuesday 27 November 2012 by the Jurassic Coast Teaching Schools Alliance.
Adam Shelley, Alliance SLE Leader, put together a very interesting and challenging day for the candidates, using the National College SLE criteria but adapting it to the needs of the Alliance. The feedback from the candidates was very positive and they were pleased to have been challenged so comprehensively. Part of the day involved a presentation to the Headteachers of Colyton Grammar School and The Woodroffe School and these were all highly professional and very thoughtful. All six candidates have been recommended to the National College for approval and we should hear whether they have been successful by mid December.
